The Wandering Newbie - Hidden Camping Spots -
Here's a nice little camping spot to keep in your mind for after gate closure season. Dingo Hill Track has two great camp spots. One is right on the track about a 1km or 2 in from Tamboritha Road. The other is down a little track about 3km in. The track is rough and when I did it rather muddy but at the bottom is a great little spot. Lovely grass greets you with the sound of the Shaw Creek flowing. There is nothing here which is part of its beauty. There is no phone signal, again part of its beauty. The campground itself in in a little dip surrounded by trees and scrub and has a slight rock wall that rises around the creek out the back so could be quite a protected spot from the wind. Definitely worth a look if you are after some peace and quite away from everyone else. Though there is room for a few set ups!
